Australia is gigantically big!!!

We have now reached the halfway point in Australia. So far we have driven around 8,400 km in our motorhome. This corresponds to an average of 200 km per day. By the end of our journey it will be more than 10,000 km.

When we planned this, it didn't look that big on Google... 😜

But when you put that in perspective, you realize how massive this country is.

Still, in my opinion, you can only really understand it once you have experienced it yourself. When you have driven thousands of kilometers and taken in the endless expanses, the seemingly unchanging nothingness and the barely changing landscape for hours. It's simply something completely different than what we know from our little Switzerland.

The first few weeks were characterized by rather cold and untypically rainy weather. Luckily we were able to visit friends and relatives. The diversity of new friendships that were created here was extremely beneficial and helped us get through the adverse weather. We enjoyed hospitality like we have rarely experienced and experienced unforgettable moments. Thank you to everyone who allowed us to visit!

You are the highlight of our visit to Australia - so far...
